A. Certifications. Certification offerings allow Users to gain knowledge in a specific product development skill, and demonstrate understanding and retention of that knowledge to secure a certificate of completion in the work. Each Certification includes a self-paced online learning course component in addition to a live, interactive applied workshop component. The self-paced online learning course is complete with video, text and image content for learning key principles, processes, tools and techniques, templates and examples for putting learnings into practice, and module assessments to validate each User’s knowledge of the learning topic. The live, interactive applied workshop includes one training kickoff call, two half-day sessions, and one training wrap-up call with a Company facilitator where learnings are exercised using real-world scenarios, projects and case studies in order to produce the topic-relevant deliverables or work outcomes. Certification topics include, but are not limited to:
1. Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC). The PLDC is the journey of uncovering, conceptualizing, building, refining, and enhancing digital products to meet user needs and deliver value. This approach to building software follows a well-defined path of best practices and industry standards across software engineering organizations of all shapes and sizes. The PDLC encompasses various stages and activities that ensure the successful creation, delivery, and maintenance of software products. It also includes the necessary governance and oversight of its stages to ensure that standard deliverables meet quality, timeline, and business outcome requirements.
2. Portfolio Management. Portfolio management is the primary workstream within the Exploration stage of the PDLC. This process of generating leads, qualifying them into opportunities and prioritizing opportunities for further work is the primary objective for the portfolio management workstream. Overall, it helps product teams uncover high-value opportunities for innovation.
3. Solution Desirability. Solution desirability is the human-centered product discovery workstream that directly mitigates that product investment risk by better validating that a proposed digital solution is indeed desirable to end-users. Integrating the solution desirability workstream into the early stages of the product development lifecycle allows top product teams to quickly and iteratively explore the possibilities, without heavy expenditure of time and money.
4. Technical Feasibility and Market Viability. Technical feasibility is an experimental software development workstream that directly addresses the technical risk inherent in building a proposed digital solution. It serves as a crucial cross-check that verifies that there are no insurmountable technical challenges that could come up during the delivery of the solution concept. Market viability is a sales and marketing validation workstream that aims to determine how well the marketing strategy of a solution concept is able to acquire and convert target buyer audiences. It enables product teams to use data-driven decision-making to uncover the most effective marketing strategies for the most responsive target audiences.
5. Release Planning. Release Planning is a critical workstream within the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) focused on organizing and preparing for the successful deployment of a software product or feature. This workstream involves prioritizing features, allocating resources, defining timelines, and assessing risks to ensure a smooth and timely release. Incorporating this workstream into the PDLC helps teams deliver high-quality solutions while minimizing risks and maximizing the impact of each release in the market.
6. Agile Delivery. Agile Delivery focuses on the principles and practices of agile software development and how to effectively manage projects using agile methodologies. It includes operationalizing key delivery frameworks such as Scrum, and Kanban, collaboration techniques that enhance teamwork, communication, and stakeholder alignment throughout the development process. It also integrates software-specific workflows, such as continuous integration and testing, as well as work item management tooling, including task tracking, version control, and sprint management tools.
