Accessing your LDT Digital Learning Platform Account

The LDT online learning platform is our centralized hub where we house all of our content, exercises and exchange any important information. You will need to ensure you have access to the platform so you can interact with content from our instructors.

Step 1: Confirm account access

Check your email account for an invitation email to join our online platform. If you don’t see the invitation in your inbox, check your spam or promotional folders or search your inbox for “LDT Digital Learning Platform”.

The email should contain a welcome message, your username, a temporary password, and a link to the login page. Note your credentials, then click the link to log into the portal for the first time.

If you can't find your invitation, it is possible that email filtering or quarantining is in place, which intercepts emails from unknown senders. Reach out to a member of our team for support.

Step 2: Log in to the platform

Confirm your access by logging in for the first time using the temporary credentials that were provided to you over email.

If you had any issues receiving your welcome email, but have confirmed with one of our team members that your account has been set up, you may try to log in by resetting your password. Click on the "Forgot Password?" link, and follow the instructions that were sent to you by email.

Step 3: Update your password

To ensure that your account remains secure, we insist that you take the time to update your temporary password to use a more secure password of your choosing. This is standard practice across all web application providers and can help to minimize the threat of unauthorized access to your LDT account.

To change your password, access your profile settings by clicking on your user avatar icon at the top right corner of the navigational header menu and selecting the "Settings" item from the dropdown menu. Once on the profile settings page, you can scroll down to update and save your new password.

Here's some general guidance to ensure that your new password is reasonably complex.

  • Maintain a 14-character minimum length

  • Don't use a password that is the same or similar to one you use on any other websites

  • Don't use a single word, for example, password, or a commonly used phrase like helloworld

  • Make passwords hard to guess, even by those who know a lot about you. So don't use easily obtainable information such as the names and birthdays of your friends and family, your favorite bands, and phrases you like to use

Step 4: Inspect course content

Each time you are granted access to one or more courses, you will receive a courtesy notification email to confirm your enrollment with a convenient link to access the platform.

Any time you are granted access to any of our products on our online learning platform, it is always best practice to confirm your ability to access the content.

Note that sometimes, browsers can operate in "Protected Browsing Mode", which can restrict the way that content is displayed. Be sure to confirm with the browser that this digital platform is not a malicious website to be able to experience our full set of course features.
